![]() ![]() It was cheaply made, the stock was hardwood not Walnut. But looking at the rifle.I was not impressed. I even talked about it with people on the GTA forum. What prompted me to get this rifle out and post this? A few days ago I was looking at a Crossman Benjamin 392 in 22 at Sportsman's Warehouse for $139. I have at this time two 5mm Blue Streaks, and this 177 397 PA now. Was it ever made in 22? I have always had a Sheridan 5mm pump rifle since I was nine years old. Is there anyone out there with one of these rifles? It has many of the Sheridan features. ![]() The trigger pull is very heavy.but I can live with is a hunting and plinking rifle. I think it was a good buy for $70 used at a Kansas Gun shop. This is the Silver Streak model with a very nice barrel and reciever finnish. This rifle has the Sheridan type steel trigger guard and a the Benjamin steel push pull safety. ![]() This air rifle has a nice Sheridan style Walnut stock made with out a butt plate. A surprise was that it also did this with 3 pumps. At six pumps with any of the pellets the 397 shot through both sides of a steel tin-can. I was shooting at 10 yards and using pellets weighing 6.7gr up to 10.6 grains. A few minutes ago I was shooting my 177 Benjamin Sheridan 397 PA pump air rifle. ![]()
